EDIT: [1/13/17] I've uploaded a new version that's been modified for easier printing and hopefully improved casting. This model was designed specifically for high-resolution laser resin printers, where many of the intricate details will shine through. Unfortunately, default scale on FDM printers may not do it justice. The finished product measures 5.05 x 4.4 x 2.65 cm (1.98 x 1.73 x 1.04 inches) and is a perfect representation of the Wolf School medallion from The Witcher III. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Formlabs Printer Model: Form 2 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 25 microns Post-Printing Process: Molding: I utilized high-resolution printing to create an incredibly detailed silicone mold of the medallion. Casting: Next, I cast it from a mixture of plastic and aluminum powder using a unique cold casting technique. For those interested in learning more, I highly recommend searching online for "cold casting." To enhance its durability, I carefully embedded a bent paperclip into the ring loop during the casting process. Finishing: I polished the finished piece with super fine steel wool and a smooth metal object to achieve a sleek, metallic appearance.
