I really liked the coaster design, but the top and bottom weren't even, so I flattened it on both sides so that it'd print better and be a nicer top surface to use as a coaster. Just like the original designer, I recommend printing it at 80mm wide (133%) scale to handle anything larger than a pop can.

We're selling these painted and finished like in the pictures on our Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/933560895/

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3 Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.08

Infill:

50%

Filament: Veeology PLA Silver Silk

Notes:

Printed in high layer detail to capture the wood texture, but not necessary. Also, infill is only so high to give the print some heft to hold it down.

Post-Printing =============
I spray painted it with a few passes of "Dark Steel" metallic paint before doing a blackwash and painting the eyes red. Then I sealed it with clear coats before attaching silicone feet for added grip.

Category: Kitchen & Dining
