Witch-Fear Assignment

My class had an assignment to create a character, and the abstract description of the task was simply one word: "fear". Like many people, death terrifies me, but the path that leads to death is what scares me the most. My jaw frequently clicks, and I'm afraid it will suddenly dislocate. I worry that I won't have enough money, and starvation will be my fate. As I age, I fear becoming a creepy witch on the edge of the woods or her vengeful spirit, always famished and starving. The Japanese legend of the Churel haunts me - her feet are turned backwards, leading her to places she doesn't want to go, opposite of where she longs to be. Oh, how terrifying this is! Later, my teacher prompted us to draw a more playful version of fear, so I drew a cute picture of a little girl sitting on a party clown's lap and both are sobbing. However, this felt like something he'd asked me to create rather than something that truly scares me. Here it is.
