Wireless Midi Footswitch Pad (Bluetooth/BLE)

## NOTICE:\r\n\r\nI apologize for the constant changes to this model and software. My goal is to make instructions clear and easy to follow, so I've decided to try a completely new hardware setup that should simplify this project in the end. I've ordered the necessary hardware, and it's expected to arrive within a week or two, at which point I'll be able to refine the design.\r\n\r\nUPDATE: I just received the new hardware (May 26, 2020). It will take me some time to rework the software and hardware, so please check back in a few weeks for the final design.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I apologize for the thumbnails issue. Thingiverse seems to be experiencing problems with updating STL files.\r\n\r\n## About this Project\r\n\r\nThe files on this page will enable you to build a fully functional Wireless Midi BLE Footswitch system, complete with expression pedal ports.\r\n\r\nI created this project because I wanted to use it with my HyVibe acoustic guitar and found existing options too expensive. After some thinking, I decided to create one myself, which led to the development of this unit. It's a great little device, and I'm excited to create other accessories for it in the future (stay tuned).\r\n\r\nTo see the footswitch in action, check out the demonstration video below...\r\n\r\n[](https://youtu.be/HWy88jRTAKY)\r\n\r\n...and remember, this will work with any Midi BLE compatible device!\r\n\r\n\r\n## Building Your Own\r\n\r\nYou can find full instructions, parts lists, and other details on the project's [githup project page](https://github.com/danny6869/midi-ble-footswitch).\r\n\r\nAt first glance, it may seem overwhelming due to the many components that need to be assembled. However, I've made sure the instructions are clear and easy to follow, so just about anyone with basic soldering and 3D printing skills can make one.\r\n\r\n\r\n## Priorities\r\n\r\n1. Complete the current instructions to 100% (currently around 80% done)\r\n2. Adjust the existing 3D models to address known issues\r\n - Add a "vent" near the bluetooth antenna to improve reception\r\n - Add feet, as this case requires rubber feet on the bottom.\r\n\r\n\r\n## Note from the Creator\r\n\r\nI believe that projects like this should be freely available online. However, I also think it's essential to show appreciation if you find this project useful or get value out of it. At the very least, click "like" on this project, and if you'd like to make a small donation, please use the donate button below...\r\n\r\n[](https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=QGM9ZGJDVFDEA)\r\n\r\n...thank you, and happy printing!!!\r\n\r\n
