Wireless electric fish feeder
thingiverse
This automated fish feeder doesn't rely on an Arduino board but uses a straightforward quartz timing mechanism instead. Every two hours, a portion of fish food drops out of a container when it aligns with the hole in the bottom plate. You don't have to fill all containers at once and can introduce variety by filling them with different foods. For outdoor use, a lid keeps rain and birds away from the feeder. If your feeding schedule doesn't match the portion size, simply adjust the z-axis up or down. There's also a version for continuous feeding, and you don't have to fill all containers in that case either. The bottom plate should be printed with support to keep the center opening for the clock nut accessible. It may be necessary to add a minimal amount of glue to the shaft for the large clock hand. Choose a color that blends in with the surroundings. Adding an optional dial to the lid can indicate feed times.
