I went back to the source, rebuilt the wireframe skull with a significantly cleaner mesh, and eliminated numerous mesh errors that were present in the original design.\r\n\r\nTo ensure optimal printing results, I scaled up the skull to a suitable size, allowing users to scale it further in their slicer as needed.\r\n\r\nThe base was added to provide a stable foundation for the skull, improving adhesion and print quality while serving as a solid base for any internal components.\r\n\r\nA 150% scale factor and 0.2mm layer height were used to achieve the printed result shown in the image, with silver PLA being the chosen material.\r\n\r\nThe mesh was thoroughly cleaned up, eliminating all overlapping faces and open gaps, resulting in a nearly flawless design.\r\n\r\nIn addition, I simplified the base and fixed its attachment to the skull, resolving issues caused by a faulty boolean union operation, which should significantly improve print quality.\r\n\r\nSTL files and the original Blender designs are available for remixing purposes, with users encouraged to credit the creators: philnelson and garygeo for their original base skull model.
