Wireframe Hexasphericon
thingiverse
Inspired by MakersMuse and MakeAnything, I experimented with my own design and came up with a "wireframe" version of a hexaspericon. It prints in less than an hour and weighs about 8 grams, rolling smoothly (almost) just like a real hexasphericon. The pieces should snap together easily for assembly. It rolls very much like a real hexaspericon, but somewhat rougher due to the difficulty in aligning the points of the half-circles properly, and because the tapered angle is 45 degrees instead of 60 degrees or higher, which I did for printability reasons. Any tips to improve are greatly appreciated!
