Wire Spool Box
thingiverse
A bench top organizer designed for small spools of wire or solder is presented in this project, aimed at consolidating numerous unruly spools. The 'axles' are offset to prevent collisions between the spools. The top of the box features a basic metric ruler without markings, which can be improved. Constructed from 3mm plywood using Luau wood, feedback on material width and axle size is welcomed for DXF file provision. The assembly process involves cutting pieces, assembling the box with temporary tape before applying glue, attaching square braces to the back panel for hinge installation, and inserting 'axles'/spools. As a first project, this user expresses enthusiasm for OpenSCAD and invites suggestions for improvements or future projects.
