Wire Shelf Workbench Tool Holders

Wire Shelf Workbench Tool Holders

On my workbench, two wire shelves sit that I bought from Amazon. They're available at http://a.co/d/186Vva5. Although they sag under any significant weight, they are what I have. I wanted to mount some of my frequently used tools to the front edge of the shelf to clear space on the work surface below. To achieve this, I designed some clips with female dovetails that snap over the front edge of the shelf and then a series of attachments (with male dovetails) that use one or more of these clips to hang from the front of the shelf. I've tried to make things parametric where possible, but this isn't a polished finished project. I'm using all this stuff, and I'm generally happy with it, but I'm sure there's tons of room for improvement. Tool Holders: * A screwdriver and mini-ratchet holder (Chapman Mfg) that I highly recommend, available at http://a.co/d/bUfIyUV. * A socket Holder for 1/4" sockets * DMM holder that should work for most generic handheld DMMs * Test probe holder for 4 rigol scope probes and 2 DMM probes * A simple holder for a Wowstick electric screwdriver * A holder for various sized pliers and side cutters * Driver bit holders (parametric) for 4mm and 8mm bits All items rely on wire_shelf_clip.scad as a library, and expect it to be in a subfolder called 'lib' which is where I keep my libraries. In turn, that file includes lib/dovetails.scad. In other words, unless you move those two files into a lib subfolder, this won't work out of the box at all. Maybe I'll modify everything and re-upload it at some point. @ryanthecoder has produced a parametric clip design similar to mine but with the addition of a cut to ease attaching the clips to the rack. I'll probably incorporate a similar feature in my clip design next time I need to print one. You can see his design on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1409228
