Wire Rack Filament Spool Hanger
pinshape
Yes, yet another filament spool hanging device. I figured out that if I attached the spool to the underside of my small wire rack shelf next to my printer for my notebook, I could utilize the space underneath it to store tools and other essentials. This design should work for most types of wire rack shelving. It is set up for a 90-degree hanging angle on a shelf that's 14 inches (356cm) wide. If your shelf is smaller or larger, you might need to edit the .step files and adjust the angle of the rods accordingly. I also wanted an easy way to switch spools; I keep my spares bagged up so they don't absorb Seattle moisture. So the spool "axle" simply sits in the sockets, making it effortless to interchange with other spools. The outside nuts on the spool rod are not tightened down; instead, I have two nuts at the ends of the rod acting as a cap.
