Wire Puzzle

Intrigued by an old puzzle made from two identical wire pieces, I decided to animate the wire bending process. Stop-motion animation was used, with each configuration having different angles rendered individually. The model was created in Solidworks 2016 and rendered using Simlab Composer 8 Mechanical Edition. Frames were edited with Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux the video into MP4 format, while Gifs were made with PhotoScape. IrfanView was utilized for editing renders, and the 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files are also animated. The model is available in various formats, including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 8, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, DWF, and FBX.
