This "Thingy" is designed for creating a 20mm diameter wire clip or wire conduit. The flexible exterior allows easy opening and clipping over the Mendel rod, followed by snapping tightly onto an 8mm or 5/16 inch rod. Wires are then pushed inside, with the outside being compressed to securely lock the conduit in place via a barb clip that fits into a groove. The wire clip is reusable and can be repeatedly snapped open and closed for easy routing and rerouting of wires. This versatile tool can also be detached and utilized elsewhere as needed. To print this "Thingy," you have the option to print 20mm or, if desired, 100mm with both STL files provided. I personally skeined it using the jitter module while following a print order of loop, perimeter, and infill. For optimal results, employ PLA filament with a well-calibrated Prusa Mendel equipped with a .35mm hot end and printed on blue tape. Initially, set the temperature to 200°C for the first two to three layers, followed by maintaining 185°C for the remaining layers. Please note that the dimensions of this "Thingy" are not intended to be parametric, so they serve as a hack for effective functionality.
