Wire Ferrule Magazine Autoloader

Wire Ferrule Magazine Autoloader

thingiverse

This is a magazine that holds wire ferrules with ease. Essentially, it's a copycat design from medium caliber weapons like 20mm guns I've worked on in the past. If you have large hands or hate spilling ferrules into energized equipment, you absolutely need this tool! It also makes crimping wire ferrules a breeze by eliminating the hassle of putting on a ferrule, holding it in place (which rarely works), and then trying to get the crimper on it. Instead, simply strip the wire, grab the crimper with the ferrule magazine attached, and push the wire through the feed hole where the metal ferrule is exposed for crimping. To use this design, zip tie the magazine to your crimpers as shown in the picture. Load the ferrules into the magazine, then insert a folded zip tie to act as a spring. I plan on working on a more advanced spring system later or you can come up with your own ideas! This tool should have been invented decades ago, but we make do with what we have. Feel free to modify this design to suit your needs and happy wiring!
