Wire Dispenser Box V.1

Wire Dispenser Box V.1

thingiverse

This is a four-spool three-dimensional printed replica of Adafruit's wire spool boxes (https://www.adafruit.com/products/1311). Updates include switching holes from "under" to "over," making it much simpler to thread the wire through if it becomes tangled inside the box. Adafruit's box design can be enhanced with 3D printing to create a more durable and customizable version. This is the initial edition, created and printed within one day. There are numerous opportunities for improvement, so the SketchUp file is provided for users to customize and expand upon this design. A designated area is available for attaching a metal piece and magnet to secure the lid in place. However, some fine-tuning is required. The hinge relies on a 1.75mm filament segment pushed through; it can be secured using glue or friction welding. This print necessitated drilling to accommodate the filament's placement. Print Settings: Printer: ExtraBot 3020 Rafts: Irrelevant Supports: Required Resolution: Unnecessary Infill: 30-100% Notes: Lid = no supports — print upside down; Box = supports for the hinges; Holder = no supports — print with flat part facing down.
