I was searching for an easy way to handle a wire for cutting certain items. You can find many commercially available handles, but I came up with this alternative, made from four parts: a nut, a cap, a handle, and a wedge. The nut resembles the cap with a cylindrical rod inside it. To print the handle and wedge, use some brim to ensure stability! For the handle, also add support for the surface at the threaded end that rests on the printer's table. After printing, remove the brim and any loose strings. You're now ready to use it! Push the wire through the small hole on the side of the handle, then stop the other end with your finger. Next, push in the wedge, which catches and holds the wire inside the handle. Secure the wedge using the nut. On the opposite side of the handle, you can screw on the cap for a neater look. To remove the wedge and wire, simply swap out the nut and cap, then insert the nut and take out the wedge. Of course, this solution is designed for light tasks only. I frequently use it to cut off stickers or badges from cars. You can also use fishing line as a cutting wire. In my case, the Berkley Fireline Smoke 0.32mm (23.5kg) works perfectly.
