For those of you who want to keep your eggs extra organized, here is remix of njeff's bird nest egg holder for the board game Wingspan. I added a tripartite internal divider, and also created a snap-on top that keeps the eggs in place when the nest is stored in the Wingspan box. Each partitioned region holds fifteen eggs of one color. I printed two of the nests so that eggs would be conveniently available on either side of the table.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 5

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.4 mm

Infill:

35%

Filament: eSun PLA+ Brown; Light Brown

Notes:

I did a filament swap when printing the lid so that the Wingspan bird logo stands out.

How I Designed This ===================
The dividers were created in Fusion 360, exported as a .STL file with MeshMixer, and combined with njeff's original next in MeshMixer.

The lid was designed in Fusion 360. To create the bird logo, an image of the bird was edited with Gimp and turned into a black and white silhouette. This was then transformed into a .SVG file using Inkscape and imported into Fusion 360. The final structure in Fusion 360 was exported as a .STL file using MeshMixer.

Category: Games
