Catamaran frame ensures stability - freely rotating wing functions as a sail - ball joint connected rudder system provides maneuverability. Rarely does the wind push the sail and sailing upwind becomes possible with lift generated by the wing. However, since printing flexible fabric is not feasible, we can print a rigid wing instead. The frame results from experimenting with various Autodesk Inventor 2014 modeling features, resulting in an unusual appearance. This model was planned for the boat contest but summer's lazy days caused it to miss the deadline. Unfortunately, I haven't printed this out yet. As my first model designed for printing purposes, be patient with me. I will revise the model over time and if the boat floats and sails well, I will modify it to include mini-servos, a battery, and a radio receiver for easy RC-boat control.
