Rather than adjust the stock mount, I chose to fabricate a new one that would be perfectly level, unlike the downward angle of the original mount. This also presented an opportunity to relocate the motor slightly aft, thereby increasing the distance between the propeller and the wing's trailing edge. I made sure to leave adequate space for the motor wires to pass through the firewall, as well as smaller holes for ventilation at both the top and bottom.
