This high-lift trainer wing is designed specifically for Hobby Zone mini cub aircraft. Included components are left and right fuselage joiners, wing tips, and spar sections. A center joiner piece is also provided, which can be resized as needed (recommended 17mm wide). For a straight wing, brushless conversion may require extending the joiner to match the width of the fuselage. Depending on preference, wings can be assembled with or without 5-degree joiners or a 15-degree joiner for a poly wing featuring angled wing tip sections. A shorter version of the wing tips is included in an STL file, saving up to 6 grams. Post-flight notes indicate that additional weights may be necessary for proper balance. Version 8 files offer a less aggressive lift profile and include center spar, wing tips, and angled joiners matched with Version 5 center spar. Newly added files suggest printing with two shells, 30% infill, and .25mm layers. Assemble using 3mm carbon tube or rod and 6mm square hollow carbon rod. Construct the sheet from 1mm blasa, sanding edges before covering with film. The wing weighs slightly more than standard (approximately 94 grams), but provides increased strength and adaptability for powered up versions of this plane.
