Wing ribs with swept leading edge

Wing ribs with swept leading edge

thingiverse

Set of wing ribs designed as internal structure for a wing with a swept leading edge and other unique features, created to be mounted on wood or composite rods to frame out a wing. Currently at an early stage, aiming to achieve detail level comparable to a generic wing rib that can form a straight wing. Requiring time to refine in Blender. Even when completed, further adjustments will be necessary due to lack of personal 3D printing capabilities. Therefore, you'll need to conduct various checks and determine a usable scale before attempting to make it. Update 8/3/16: All ribs now feature holes for supporting rods to pass through. Wingtip pieces have been modified with a closed outer face section (intended to cap off the wing). Other components still require cleanup, but a clear direction towards improved shape definition can be observed compared to previous file versions.
