Wing Nut Grip for M3 screws (e.g. Anet A8 bed level screws)
thingiverse
I'm excited about creating a simple grasp around the M3 wing nuts of the A8 bed, making leveling a breeze without them is just a pain. Even though there are already designs out there, I didn't like the idea of the grip doing the job of the wing nut and being stuck between the nut and the bed carrier. So I designed this grip which is easy to print (no support needed) and it's really just a grip, the nut is still making contact with the bed carrier. I recommend an infill of at least 30%, the nuts fit very tight into the grip, don't be afraid to push them in with a tool, I used a plier for it. There are two different versions included, one very tight version (wingnut holder v10.stl) and one that is a little less tight (wingnut holder v10 less tight.stl). I tried both, they work, using the less tight version makes pushing the nut screw in a little easier. Your choice ;). By the way, just in case you want to use them on any other printer than the Anet A8, the diameter is 18.5mm. Any suggestions, problems or ideas? Let me know in the comments! You made one? I'd love to see some pictures :)
