Wing Joint Doubler for RC Aircraft - Glue on
thingiverse
This is just a quick, simple, wing glue-joint doubler. In building the Eclipson Model Z airplane, the little alignment tabs for the wing pieces kept breaking off. So, in order to glue the sections together, first I glued these doublers onto the top and bottom of a section, then I could slide the other wing section into place, and glue it through the doubler. The doubler is thin and airy, so the glue will easily pass through. This doubler can easily be cut to any size with a pair of scissors. It is very soft and flexible. It's just one layer thick. Whatever you set as your first layer height will set the thickness of this doubler. It prints really fast! I usually print ten or twelve of them at a time, which only takes about 10 minutes. Another option would be to set a really small layer height, and print 2 layers in opposite directions. I wouldn't go over 0.2mm total thickness, though.
