Wing and Fuselage Building Jigs
thingiverse
This is a metric version of the classic "A-Justo-Jig" concept. Fibre rods provide rib support at 50mm centres, while the main tube boasts a sturdy 16mm aluminium design with a base tube constructed from 25mm square aluminium. The central dihedral bracket features 3mm aluminium angle, measuring an impressive 280mm in length. Bolt slots are strategically placed 10mm from each end, allowing for up to 8 degrees of dihedral angle per side. A single angle bracket is required at 3mm thickness but adding a second side can be beneficial when using lighter gauge materials. All bolts are precisely engineered with 5mm diameter and 30 to 40mm length, accompanied by wing nuts, plain washers, and split washers for added stability. Fuselage adaptors are also included, offering optional 25mm square tube adaptors that enable the creation of a separate jig. The side bars can be cascaded to extend length or accommodate complex shapes. Furthermore, Openscad files are provided, allowing users to tailor the design according to local material and tolerance requirements.
