Wing access panel holder
thingiverse
I know there are multiple methods for attaching access panels on wings. I fabricated these screw-on plates to secure them in place, just in case removal is needed later on. Each download will suffice for supporting one wing, requiring only two prints. Plastic or nylon 6-32 screws bought from a local hardware store hold the panels securely. The template for cutting out access panel shapes was printed using this design. To achieve precise cutouts, a router bit mounted on a Dremel tool was used. Next, mount the access panel into the wing structure and place the template inside, ensuring alignment with drill marks made previously with a 1-inch setting on the drill. Now that accurate positioning is established, use the template to mark areas where outside plates meet internal mounting components. Then snap nuts onto internal plates, secure them in place with adhesive, fasten the outer plates using adhesive, and finally, attach plastic or nylon screws (6-32 size) for a tight seal. Everything will be perfectly aligned and functional once this is complete
