Wine Bottle Screw Cap
thingiverse
A wine bottle screw cap that seals tight right out of the printer, thanks to a clever trick: insert the plastic liner from a commercial cap into your printed one and enjoy a perfect seal. Two versions available for free download, each with its own FreeCAD file. The standard version is ready to print and use as-is, while the basic version has been stripped down to its essentials - no fillets or chamfers mean sharp edges but it's still fully functional. If you want to make changes to the design, this is your best bet. Here are the print settings I used: Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No supports needed Supports: None required Resolution: 0.3mm nozzle and 0.1mm layer height Infill: 50% fill density Notes: Bottom layer thickness = 2mm, top layer thickness = 5mm I tested it with ABS plastic, but PLA should work just as well. If you're concerned about toxins, try using the plastic liner like I did.
