Wine bottle label applier
thingiverse
Tired of labeling your wine bottle with a hand like a peasant? No money for million dollar factory? It always comes out wrong, too high, low, has bubbles and you never seem to get the height right? This is definitely not the best solution, but hey as long as it works. Of course you are still using your hands to turn bottle and apply the label, but it's straight and no bubbles if you do it right. It's not hard to print, everything except the frame is removable, so if something breaks, no problem, easy fix. Structure is rigid enough at 15% infill, don't waste any more plastic on this garbadg... i mean engineering wonder... the weight is not going to be a problem, because of the bottle, but I would suggest gluing it down or adding supports for screws in case you have a lot of labels on a roll. But why the ugly holes you ask? For the sleek design of course! No, it's because PLA is not metal and will warp with time, so next year just print 1-2% bigger bearing and it will fit snuggly! Why the bearing has so much room? You can actually put 2 of them in, don't know why, but you can! I suggest printing a bit smaller like at 74% for enclosed bearing holes. I know absolutely no one in their right mind would print this, but hey, I had fun making it and it does work much better than using hands. The one I made looks a bit different because, well, I print and then think. Credits: Bearings are stole.. i mean borrowed from this guy -> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4821342
