2/26/2017 UPDATE: I've added the Bottle Drying Tree Body in two different versions - one with 1/4 inch holes and another with 3/8 inch holes for heavier bottles. The labels are clear, so you can easily choose which one suits your needs. If you're concerned about flexibility, use the 3/8 dowel version; they flex more than the 1/4 inch dowels, which might cause issues with heavier bottles. To download, simply click on the preferred version and proceed. Depending on the accuracy of your machine, you may need to sand the ends of the dowels slightly to ensure a smooth fit. Also, I recommend reducing the legs' size by 99% in your slicer for easier insertion into the base. My initial tolerances were a bit too tight. As an amateur Vintner with about three years of experience, I've been searching for the perfect bottle drying rack. However, most designs weren't quite what I had in mind. That's when I stumbled upon buzzsaw2222's design, but it was geared towards smaller beer bottles and risked breaking if heavier wine bottles were placed on them. I took the original design and completely reworked it to create my own Bottle Drying Tree. This tree can hold up to six wine bottles per Body segment you print, using 1/4 inch wood dowels that you can cut to your preferred length (six inches works well). The tree also features drainage that directs sanitizing solution away from the bottles and into one of the legs, allowing for easy placement beside a sink. To ensure stability on uneven surfaces, I added ball feet to the legs. To install these, simply flip the legs over and tap them into place until they're secure. Assemble the tree and test its flatness on your countertop. I initially designed the Complete Kit to fit on a 200mm X 200mm print bed, but you can also print the parts separately if preferred. If you choose this option, you'll need: 1) Bottle Drying Tree Draining Base 1) Bottle Drying Tree Body (or multiple for increased capacity) 1) Bottle Drying Tree Draining Leg 3) Bottle Drying Tree Legs 8) Bottle Drying Tree Feet I'm pleased with the final result and believe it's a great solution for any Vintner. If you want to dry more bottles, simply print additional Body segments and build your tree higher - just be sure not to exceed four segments for stability. To prevent the "Leaning Tower of Pisa" effect, evenly space your bottles across each segment if you're not filling one completely. This will ensure a stable tree that can hold up to 24 bottles, perfect for a five-gallon batch of wine with some extra glasses for tasting.
