Windup Bunny 2 With a PLA Spring Motor and Floating Pinion Drive.

Windup Bunny 2 is a cutting-edge upgrade to my original Windup Bunny from years ago. Designed as a dual floating pinion all-wheel drive model, it outperforms its predecessor in every way. Despite being larger (1.5 times) and heavier (120 grams versus 64 grams), Windup Bunny 2 zooms ahead faster and farther thanks to its innovative dual floating pinion / rotating pinion gear carriage design and a significantly stronger spring. I've developed rear wheel drive floating pinion models before that harness both gravity and rotational momentum to disengage the rear axle from the spring motor when energy is depleted. Windup Bunny 2 takes this concept further by incorporating all-wheel drive, requiring both front and rear axles to disconnect from the spring motor for coasting or push / pull functionality. To achieve this, I designed a rotating dual floating pinion carriage with a heavy rear mass that disengages both axles from the spring motor when energy is depleted. Windup Bunny 2 has become another beloved toy among our kids and grandkids, offering a delightful windup and push / pull experience for family members of all ages. Although it's much sturdier than its predecessor, printing, assembling, and testing Windup Bunny 2 requires patience and finesse. As always, I'm prone to forgetting files or making other mistakes, so please don't hesitate to point out any errors you may find. Windup Bunny 2 was designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced with Cura 3.5.0, and printed in PLA and Tough PLA on an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
