WindSprinters -- Parametric Wind Turbines for every car!

Hello there! My name is Reagan and I'm 14 years old. I've created the WindSprinter, an awesome attachment for Lego or handmade cars that lets them run on wind power. Simply slide it onto your car's front or rear axle and get ready to roll! 1. Theory The WindSprinter is inspired by a classic English semi-cylinder turbine design. Check out this video to see how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkHsxSlIrBw The arrows in the video represent wind flowing into the turbine. 2. Assembly First, build the car you want to power - I've included some examples for you to use as a starting point. Next, set up your box fan or hair dryer to blow air through the WindSprinter down a long hallway. Finally, gather your friends and have a blast racing! 3. Modification If your WindSprinter isn't producing enough torque or is too big for your car, try using the HighTorqueTurbine file or the CompactTurbine file instead. If you want to take it up another notch (or make it even smaller!), open up the Turbine.ipt file and head to Parameters at the bottom. There, you'll find three dimensions you can adjust: Diameter, Intake, and Length. Changing these will let you customize your turbine's size and performance. Here's a video of the WindSprinter in action! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGtvswlt02E Check out more of our projects, blog posts, and 3D Acrylic Maze Kit at http://www.cuberinth.com - we're excited to share them with you! Enjoy!
