The original windshield washer fluid reservoir cap is flimsy and prone to damage. A better quality cap should be durable enough to withstand regular use and last the lifetime of the vehicle. The initial design had a loose fit, but included a hole for attaching a lanyard to prevent loss. To improve the cap, I made it tighter fitting, added thickness and extra fillets for increased strength. After printing on a Solidoodle III with a .2 mm layer, the updated cap is significantly more robust. However, be aware that Solidoodle printers may require modifications for optimal performance.
