A friend of mine lost the cover of his Nissan Primera's windshield washer reservoir and asked me if I could replace it with a printed one. I accepted the challenge. The cover is made up of three parts: a lower body, an upper body, and a spring that keeps it on the reservoir's inlet. To take off the cover, simply push the side of the spring and it will release the inlet. The cover was designed for specific inlet dimensions: - Inlet seat diameter: 58.45 mm - Inlet pipe diameter: 56.10 mm Follow these instructions carefully! Print all parts out of ABS since the cover must withstand heavy heat loads. Bond the two body parts together with the spring in the middle, using super glue or ABS slurry. When printing the spring, use its flat face as the first layer. Note: I could have printed the whole cover at once, but I wanted to experiment with the spring design, so a three-part assembly was the best choice.
