<p>BMW R 1200 GS LC Windshield raiser (5cm)<br/> I printed it from PLA and tested one season with highways and many km of gravel roads. After the season the parts looked deformed (slightly bent) but I think they survived well in rough conditions.</p> <p>With stock windshield height I feel helmet buffeting.<br/> Adapters lifts windshield about 5cm and stops helmet buffeting. I printed with 3 walls and about 45% infill.</p> <ul> <li>Part is designed for metric nut. Fits tight. </li> <li>I use 16mm bolts but they can be shorter by 2mm. Easier to assemble with longer screws.</li> <li>You will be able to reuse original screws. </li> <li>You will need 4 additional bolts and 4 nuts (M5). Metric :]</li> <li>To my surprise even light parts for testing/measuring purposes felt strong. But do not compromise safety and please print parts with sufficient infill and walls. </li> <li>Use threadlocker during assembly.<br/> Negatives:</li> <li>Bigger gap under the screen. Possibly more air reaching Your chest. </li> <li>Maybe a bit more wobbly windscreen at the tallest position.<br/> I think it is the most cost efficient way to increase the height of Your BMW motorcycle windshield. The solution is lightweight as well. The higher the part from the mass centre the more crucial the savings are. So I decided not to put any metal clamps on top of my windshield. Ditching original screen and going for expensive aftermarket solution looked like a waist also. So, this is my approach. It is minimal investment and You always can come back to stock settings.</li> </ul>
