Have several USB boot drives loaded with various operating systems on each. Need a system to identify them separately. Chose to design and print a personalized keytag using my 3D printer. Opened Adobe Illustrator to search for the perfect font - I came across Oriya Sangam MN which suited my needs. Imported it into Illustrator, edited and saved it as an SVG file. Next, opened 123D Design to extrude and transform it into a three-dimensional model, then exported it as an STL file. Used Makerbot's slicing software to slice the design for printing and selected my fifth-generation Makerbot printer for fabrication. Designed keytag: 30 minutes. The whole process was relatively straightforward when utilizing suitable tools. To summarize: * Print Settings: * Rafts: None * Supports: No * Infill Percentage: 15% * Noteable specifications: + Number of shells: Two + Layer height: .1mm After the print was complete, post-processing involved high-quality polishing to optimize its structural integrity. How I Achieved This Design Utilizing these software applications enabled anyone with a solid foundation in design and technology to produce an intricate 3D object. Key Steps Involved: 1. Using Illustrator: Input number 7, chose font Oriya Sangam MN, saved as .svg 2. 123D Design: * Imported SVG file and applied necessary modifications for a printable STL file. * Saved final product in appropriate format. Next steps include preparation for fabrication with Makerbot Slicing Software and printing using my fifth-generation Makerbot device.
