Window Shutter Snaget

Window Shutter Snaget

thingiverse

My house features wooden interior shutters without any latches, which is hardly a surprise since they tend to drift open freely. I devised this simple clip to hold the shutters firmly in place. This little contraption has earned the name "Snaget" thanks to Tinkercad's quirky nomenclature, and I think it suits it just fine! Some key design elements include wall thicknesses of 1.5 mm, which I determined to be the optimal size for printing at a resolution of 0.28 mm on my Zeus printer with minimal infill required. This choice strikes an ideal balance between strength and print speed. The rounded feature not only enhances structural integrity but also provides a convenient grip when attaching or removing the Snaget. Additionally, I've included an alternative version featuring two reinforced rounded sections to provide even greater durability for the snaget mechanism. This creation was built using Tinkercad.
