I designed a window shelf bracket to hold a 6-inch board snugly within the rails above the bottom window frame. This design requires no modifications to the existing window setup; simply drill and cut a suitable wooden board to fit your needs. However, you may need to tweak certain dimensions to ensure a perfect fit in your specific window configuration - particularly the depth of the bracket that rests in the well and the boots that press snugly against the glass surface.
