Window Shade Hanger

Window Shade Hanger

I purchased a window shade that lacked brackets, which was probably a foolish mistake on my part not to check if they were included beforehand (they were explicitly stated as not being included). However, I couldn't help but think it's absurd for manufacturers to sell shades without including simple brackets that can only cost pennies. But then I quickly realized I own multiple 3D printers and there might be someone on Thingiverse who could provide what I needed. After some searching, I came across the extensions designed by lgfaler, which were almost perfect but not quite. What I actually required were the L brackets themselves, so I spent a little time in Tinkercad to create them. While working on the brackets, I also created a small clip that fits snugly over the rod at the bottom and a corresponding plumb line that can be connected with string. This makes it easier for shorter individuals to pull the shade down from its fully extended position. Please note you might need to enlarge the space in the clip to make it functional for your specific needs, as I was able to achieve this by simply sanding it.
