Here I'm sharing my DIY HomeMatic window sensor project. It's based on the excellent work by pa-pa, whose sketch can be found here: https://github.com/pa-pa/AskSinPP/blob/master/examples/HM-SEC-RHS/HM-SEC-RHS.ino. This DIY project is specifically designed for use with an Arduino Pro 3.3V and a cc1101 module. Next to the sensor, there's ample space for housing a battery pack that can be powered by two AAA batteries. The sensor itself relies on a tiny magnet measuring just 4x2 mm in the bottom section, paired with a reed switch in the upper part.
