Window Screen Clip
thingiverse
This is a clip to hold on a window screen. As seems to be my custom, I made this design, THEN searched Thingiverse to see if someone else had already done it, and did find several similar things. I'm posting this anyhow, because I do think it has an advantage over the others that I found. Most clips (including my original one) are one piece, and the barrel that the screw goes through is of varying lengths. I've seen them anywhere from no barrel, to a small barrel, to a very long barrel (mine fits in the latter category). I decided to make mine in two separate pieces because it shouldn't really affect how it functions, and it has a couple advantages. First of all, you should be able to adjust the length of the barrel to work for your application within your slicer by simply scaling it in the Z direction to whatever length you need without affecting the look of the handle. (Be sure to subtract 3mm from the total length needed as this is the thickness of the part of the handle that fits over top of the barrel) The other advantage is simply the fact that because they are two separate pieces, you don't necessarily need to print them in the same orientation. Changing print orientation can be done to optimize strength or cosmetics. Without scaling this will replace a window clip that has a barrel approximately 32.2mm long.
