Window Plant Pot Holder

Window Plant Pot Holder

I want to open my window freely without cluttering the windowsill with plant pots, so I'm considering a solution. In other rooms, I've built wooden shelves that serve as plant pot stands, secured by two sturdy hinges on the wall. These allow me to swing them out of the way before opening the window. Now, in this kitchen room, I want to create a compact plant stand directly on the window sill, with space for additional pots and holder clips. This way, I can easily swing up the window whenever I need to take a look outside. However, I'm facing issues with leakproofing and painting it with resin. In the small compartment behind the water reservoir, I'll install some electronics, including a reed relay, buzzer, and small battery that beeps when the tank is empty. A permanent magnet on the opposite side of the small reservoir will move up and down as the water level changes, triggering the reed relay. Since I designed the magnet holder using my CTC Bizer, it pauses at 20mm intervals. After placing the little magnet in position, I'll continue printing. The magnet needs to be lightweight because the holder shouldn't rise too high in the water to accurately measure the level, and I plan to paint it with resin as well. To secure the water reservoir to the plant pot, I used a hot glue gun. Next, I'll attach the holder clip to the top of the window frame and drill a rope or cable through the holes, connecting it to the plant pot. The system can be used without the electronic alarm set, but that's not my intention.
