I am replacing my car's rear quarter window trim with a new one. The old trim is held by metal clips that I'm missing on my vehicle. These metal clips are difficult to handle and require the window to be removed from the car for proper installation. Since I don't have the necessary clips, I designed a plastic shim that can replace them. This shim fits around the tabs on the new trim and has a locking mechanism that secures it in place when you need to remove the trim.\r\n\r\nTo install the new trim, gently push into the rubber surround until the shim is fully seated. Once the shim is secure, the new trim will remain in place without distorting the surrounding rubber.
