A collection of 2D and 3D OpenSCAD models for various window frames styles is available. 2D models are designed for use with etching, laser cutting, scribing, milling etc., while 3D models are intended for additive printing. All models can be easily customized to accommodate different sizes, aspect ratios, and glazing bar configurations. Default files generate a scale model of the following windows: The Arched Window Design 1 is modeled after the arched windows found in the winding engine house at Middleton Top on the Cromford and High Peak Railway, which dates back to around 1830 and still stands today as seen in the photo DSCN1320.jpg. Arched Window Design 2 replicates the arched windows from the old engine shed at Middleton Top on the Cromford and High Peak Railway. Unfortunately, this structure has been demolished, but it was a common feature of many industrial cast iron windows. The Rectangular Iron Windows model is inspired by those found in the Middleton Top winding house and can be easily modified to produce any desired size or number of glass panes. The default configuration can be seen in photo DSCN1320.jpg.
