Window Latch Keeper

Window Latch Keeper

thingiverse

This is a vinyl window keeper that I have designed and printed using my LulzBot Mini 3D printer. Several units have been successfully mounted onto our windows, so it will be interesting to see how they withstand longer-term use. Instructions The model for this design was created using Rhino 5, then exported to G-Code format for printing on my LulzBot Mini. A natural HIPS filament was used for the print job with the extruder set to a temperature of 240 degrees Celsius and the heated bed at 60 degrees Celsius. For optimal results, the High Quality setting in Cura should be selected when generating the print data. A critical note regarding this model's printing requirements is that support material will be necessary to ensure proper adhesion of any overhanging parts, as a lack thereof could result in a compromised print quality and structural integrity. Post-printing, careful consideration must be given to determining the precise location for drilling pilot holes for screw mounts.
