Window Insets for Minecraft Ore Cube Lamp
thingiverse
This is a set of OpenSCAD files for my creation of this Minecraft Ore Cube Lamp: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:472500 __Note:__ Comment out the respective parts in the OpenSCAD file. __NOTE2:__ This is for the cube to be printed at 150% scale! If you print the lamp as downloaded, you MUST resize these! __NOTE3:__ It's unlikely that this will fit your print without adjustment: You'll need to tinker with the sizings! _From my [build description](https://www.thingiverse.com/make:472500):_ I printed the cube at 150% scale in white PLA. Spray-painted it silver-grey and created insets for the windows in OpenSCAD. (the insets from the build wouldn't fit my print) I printed the windows in transparent PETG and glued them in with super glue. I also added an ESP8266 (WiFi) and an additional Bluetooth module to the cube bottom. The top square window has a small switch hidden behind it: Pressing it allows you to cycle through the signature colors the cube can have in the Minecraft game: Redstone, Lapis, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Emerald. The seventh ore "Obsidian" serves as an "off" state :-) You can see the color cycling in the video attached (Note: Video won't upload ATM) [View the video on YouTube](https://youtu.be/07GEaAaNO8Y). My son loved it!
