Window Blind Valence Mounting Clip v1.1
thingiverse
A revamped version, v1.1, rectifies the issue of insufficient thickness and structural stability present in its predecessor, v1.0. By incorporating a thicker design and precise dimensions, this updated component delivers enhanced performance. To resolve my broken valence clips, I employed calipers to measure one from a different window, then sketched the dimensions on AutoDesk Inventor. Subsequently, I printed multiple copies using a MakerBot 3D printer, rendering the process more convenient than ordering from the manufacturer. In order to improve my component, I utilized a pair of calipers to measure a clip off an alternative bracket. Thereafter, I imported these dimensions into AutoDesk Inventor and extruded the geometry to match the required 6.6mm width. The resulting design was exported as an STL file and printed on a MakerBot in ABS material.
