Window Blind Latch
thingiverse
We redesigned a set of malfunctioning automatic roman shades to function as pull-string blinds. Unable to locate a matching replacement, I created this custom solution. In my situation, there was no pre-existing hole in the blinds, so I cut out a space using a Dremel and a cutting wheel. Additional components include: 1 x M3 35mm screw to keep the pinch wheel intact and separate the drawstrings, preventing tangles. Depending on the application, this may be sufficient to secure the latch body within the blinds. Optional: 2 x M3 mounting screws to hold the latch in place while pulling down. Printer Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Wilson Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: I printed the latch with the flange facing downwards, and the overhangs caused no issues.
