Window Blind Cord Tie-Down / Cord Winder
thingiverse
While tackling some renovations in my home office, I inadvertently snapped the Tie-Down for the Window Blind Cord. Rather than rushing off to the local hardware store or clicking onto Amazon, I opted to design a DIY solution. This child safety device is remarkably easy to craft and serves as an essential safeguard against hazardous window blind and curtain cords that can pose a threat to kids. Moreover, it lends a much neater appearance. UPDATE: 11/2018 - I have since upgraded the model with rounded edges for added convenience. A M4 screw or equivalent will be required, along with drywall anchors for optimal installation. And, as part of my ongoing home renovation project, I still need to tackle painting the wall.
