Criticism and ideas are welcome:This is an attempt at drawing water from a 200ft well without power for very little money. In a perfect world this would be 3D printed from PETG with a McMaster# 9614K39 Acetal ball as the valve and ride inside a 2in PVC pipe about 2ft(600mm) long. I do need to choose piston seals and size the groove accordingly.I hope to use the water carrying PVC down pipe as the piston rod. I'll likely use a 3/4NPT to 1/2" socket adapter top of the piston. If you do a X section in the GC 3D viewer you can see the interiorProblems:PVC pipe is not truly round. Is printed plastic strong enough to withstand the water head and the seal friction?I'll update the models and information as I proceed.
