I created this effective HAWT - It is fully 3d printed except for stepper motor and rectifier. I recomend to use 2 real bearings 6202 or other 35x15x11 dimensions bearing. These effective blades were reshaped from guy Yerai from thingiverse(https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:952668).Shaft bearings are redesigned from emett bearings(https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53451).. Other things are designed by me.

It is designed to fit 42 stepper motors - I tested 4240. and attached the base on fi 70 pvc pipe. outside diameter of the mount is fi69. I glued parts with a hot gun and it holds well. For mounting motor I used only 2 bottom screws and when you wount the motor make sure that drive shaft is not too long to hit the blades. I used PETG material but would also work with PLA but I am not sure how UV resistant PLA is.

You have options to decide how much blades you will use - generaly the more blades you use the more torque wind turbine generates but it has lower top speed. so generaly the bigger the motor - more blades you will need.

I have a solid base (not rotating to wind direction) due to me living in urban area and with turbulent winds i would not benefit with a rotating base. But I included a bearing that I designed for my VAWT - it fits into a base.

You can also print a box for a homemade rectifier..

You need to print:

1x motor mount

1x spinner with the desired blade number

x amount of blades - parts from 1 to 3 (optionaly you can print endpart with a wingled for more efficiency)

2x bearings or use real 6202 bearings

1x 16T spur gear (whichever you preffer)

this is a 3 blade test: https://youtube.com/shorts/jSViINRwv7k

here is a 6 blade test: https://youtube.com/shorts/HCUvQxzwn1E

at windspeed around 15 - 20 knots (nice wind) I measured peak of 0.7Amps on my 3S battery - that is roughly 10W which is kinda low - which made me realise that steppers are not the best generators(altho I am not sure my stepper is completely healthy since I took it off the printer coz it was shorting the board at times).. anyway I can charge usb devices.. would be nice to make this thing easy to fold to take on a camping trip
