This wind turbine model was designed for a college project and can be purchased. It features numerous subassemblies such as blade pitch system, yaw pitch system, gear pump with motor and oil tank, multiplier gearbox, axial fan, generator, hydraulic cylinder, PLC or control unit, tower, nacelle with wind vane and anemometer, main shaft with main and support bearings. Note that the blade pitch system is included for educational purposes only, while other components are modeled by recommendation and intuition. The model consists of 3600+ components with 500+ unique components; therefore, only the assembly file is provided. An animation showcasing the turbine's details can be viewed using the link below, although it is a longer video to display as many aspects as possible (speed it up on YouTube if desired). The primary goal of this assembly is to raise awareness about wind turbines and their intricate design.
