This model comprises over 3600 components, including 500 unique ones, and features more than 60 subassemblies in various formats such as 3DXML, parasolid, and binary parasolid. It can also be exported as STL format for the whole assembly or individual parts. An animated version of this assembly was showcased on a popular engineering website. The model includes intricate details like blade pitch systems, yaw pitch systems, gear pumps with motors and oil tanks, multiplier gearboxes, axial fans, generators, hydraulic cylinders, PLCs or control units, towers, nacelles with wind vanes and anemometers, main shafts with bearings, and more. Notably, the blade pitch system is included for educational purposes, as 30-kilowatt wind turbines typically lack this feature. The components are calculated accurately, while modeling is done based on recommendations and intuition. The entire project was completed in SolidWorks (with Photoview rendering), along with additional touch-ups using Photoshop and video editing software. The process took approximately three months to complete, but the result is a detailed and visually stunning assembly that showcases engineering ingenuity.
